Things To Do In Sarasota, FL

The beautiful city on the south of Florida is mostly known for being home to the Ringling Brothers Circus, but there is so much more to do in the bustling hub on Florida's Gulf Coast. The city plays host to numerous cultural attractions throughout the year, but what should you be getting up to if you're visiting the city in the future?

The Ringling
If you're looking for an educational day out with the family, but also want to learn something new, then this museum is the place for you. The museum preserves the legacy of John and Mable Ringling and is home of the State Art Museum. Also here, you will find the iconic Ca' d'Zan Mansion, Art Library and two Circus Museums. There is more than enough here to keep you busy for a whole day, or maybe even two. The gardens and grounds are free to enter, the whole Museum of Art is free to enter every Monday. The gardens are the perfect place to relax after learning all about the area. Here, you can have a picnic, or pick up your phone and play NoviBet Casino  games.

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens
For a day exploring all the magical natural surroundings in the area, you should look no further than this beautiful Botanical Garden. There are waterfalls, as well as walls of flowers and ponds. The paths lead visitors to new areas of the garden. It is a brilliant place to take your children, as there are kids' gardens and an open garden court. There is also a restaurant for visitors to use, and a gift shop to get any last-minute souvenirs. There are numerous places for pictures throughout the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.

Siesta Beach
If you're looking for a more relaxing day, and would just like to unwind on a beach reading a book or topping up your tan; then Siesta Beach is the place to head to. It is fitting that it is called Siesta, as there is no better place to have a mid-afternoon nap in the entire city. The most unique thing about this beach is that it's made up of pulverised coral. The beach is 99% quartz, with much of that coming from the Appalachian Mountains. That means there's more than one reason to visit this historic beach.

Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium
The Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium is the perfect place for all animal lovers to head to. While here, you can pet the stingrays, and learn all about the amazing work that this institute does. As well as this, you will learn about the species and the changes that have been made to make the habitat more environmentally friendly. This establishment is a must for all with children, and it will be a place that will leave a lasting impression on them. There are also otters, manatees, sea turtles and sandbar sharks. The staff make the experience as pleasant as possible, and all of them are knowledgeable about the animals they look after and the work they do.
