Every week we hope to entice you to go out and do something fun in the area. Maybe you’ll see something you never thought you’d try but now you think you might. Come on down to the Old Main Street Live Kick Off!. This week is the band Wild Root Music! You can get a taste at their FB page here.  There will be local food trucks and live music. The streets between Manatee and 3rd Avenues are blocked off from car traffic, so you’ll have lots of room to dance! Old Main Street Live is on once a month. Fruitville Grove Pumpkin Festival is coming up.Sunday, October 28

You gotta love this time of year when you can get your pumpkin on! This year get it at the Fruitville Grove Pumpkin Festival. This is the 30th year and there are bunches of things to do besides pick out the perfect pumpkin. They have hay rides, pony rides, face painting, petting zoo, live music, pumpkin painting, food truck vendors, crafters, mini train ride, wildflower maze, pumpkin patch.

There are also craft folk who will show you how to make your own creations and there’s a costume contest for kids at 1pm – so dress ‘em up!

The Farmer’s Market is open during the festival as well as during the week. Pets are welcome to our event as long as they remain on their leash at all times and are up to date on all vaccinations.

Always so much fun at the Swordfish with Bob Slicker and his wonderful cast of characters! There will be a Costume Contest (couple & individual) with prizes! 1st place – $100 gift card to The Swordfish Grill & Tiki, 2nd place – $25 gift card. There’s a game of “guess the weight of the pumpkin” (no, you can’t pick it up!) that you pay $2 a guess with the proceeds going to The Blessing Bags Project! Ringling Underground is always free for college students with a valid college ID. It is an extension of the Art After 5 program held on Thursdays after 5 p.m. After hours discounted admission is $15 for adults; $5 for children 6-17, children 5 and under and Museum Members are free. Tickets available at the door or in advance by calling 941-358-3180.

Drink: Cash bar provided by Modern Events Catering.

Food Trucks: POLPO Pizza Co., Sonny’s BBQ and Kona Ice of Manatee County!

Music for this event is presented by The Ringling and Moxie Productions SRQ:

Charlo Rossi from Atlanta, Jay Thomas from Miami and MeteorEYES from Sarasota.

There will be music, art and dance and paint with art activities including arm-dipping, henna, and a craft led by the Florida Maritime Museum.

Village of the Arts in Bradenton

They are having a big party for the whole community, artists and residents alike. This is a great place to walk around and mingle with the artists. There will be multiple stages with live music and lots to participate in.
