"The Godfather" showing this Saturday at the Sarasota Film Festival Cinematheque!

Some great films being shown from the folks at the Sarasota Film Festival!

Saturday, August 17th, we are showing one of the greatest and most beloved films ever made – "The Godfather". This 1972 drama tells the story of the powerful Italian-American crime family of Don Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando). When the don's youngest son, Michael (Al Pacino), reluctantly joins the Mafia, he becomes involved in an escalating cycle of violence and betrayal. Although Michael tries to maintain a normal relationship with his wife, Kay (Diane Keaton), he is drawn deeper into the family business.

Please note the film is 177 minutes (we will have a brief intermission).

The film will be introduced by Gus Mollasis of At the Movies with Gus Mollasis. A Q&A will follow.
